Touch Rugby | Kiwi Sport

This week for kiwi sport we learnt some new skills in touch rugby, like planting the ball and we also played a game called scoop tag.

Planting the ball is when you place the ball and step over it.  The person behind you grabs the ball and you have to step back so the person can pass the ball to you.  You have to step back so it's not a forward pass.

We also played a game of scoop tag.  To play there is 2 teams.

The non-bibs and the bibs.  What happens is the people with the ball have to run.  The people without the ball have to tag a person from the other team.

If you get touched you plant the ball.  Which means you place the ball on the ground and step over it.  The person who tagged you takes the ball and run.  You cannot tag the person who tagged you back.
