Why do we use TEEL Paragraphs?

LI: to understand how TEEL paragraphs can help us structure our information and ideas in a paragraph.

Using TEEL as a structure to write a paragraph gives people more information about the chosen topic.  When someone structures their paragraph with TEEL, it makes the information  easier to understand the text.

TEEL is short for Topic sentence, Elaborate, Evidence & Link. The topic sentence is the main sentence in the paragraph that gives the reader not only the general topic, but also the main idea of it.  Evidence is a text that backs up the point that I would be trying to make.  Linking the paragraphs help to make a connection that gives the reader a clue about what will be happening in the next paragraph.

A good paragraph uses all the points that TEEL can help with.  I enjoyed this task because it gave a a better understanding of how to use TEEL and also how to make more developed paragraphs

  1. Hello Ariana
I was not aware of the acronym TEEL. What a good support for our writing. The way you have posted and written your example using TEEL is outstanding. It shows a great understanding of the process.

Well done Ariana. A very positive start to 2021
