Making Connections

Connections are similar ideas between the reader's experiences and the text being read. The three types of connections are text to self, text to text and text to world.  

Text to self connections are when something in the text reminds the reader of an experience.  

Text to text connections happen when something in the text reminds the reader of a previous text read.

Text to world connections are larger connections that a reader brings to a reading situation
